Welcome to LegalAI. By accessing or using our AI-powered legal analysis platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and LegalAI. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

LegalAI provides AI-powered legal information and analysis. Our service includes:

• Case analysis and legal research assistance
• Statute and case law citations
• Defense strategy suggestions
• Legal document templates
• Glossary of legal terms

LegalAI is an informational tool only and does not provide legal advice or create an attorney-client relationship.

4. User Accounts and Responsibilities

4.1 Account Creation

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4.2 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when using our service. You are responsible for updating your information to keep it accurate.

4.3 Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack our platform
• Share your account credentials with others
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Scrape, mine, or harvest data from our platform
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with the operation of our service

5. Subscription and Payment

5.1 Free and Premium Plans

LegalAI offers both free and premium subscription plans. Free users are limited to 3 case analyses per month. Premium users have unlimited access to all features.

5.2 Billing

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly at $29/month. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your premium subscription at any time through the "Manage Subscription" button in your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will be returned to the Free plan and retain access to your data. No refunds are provided for partial months.

5.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increases. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Property

All content, features, and functionality of LegalAI (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, AI models, and software) are owned by LegalAI and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the case information and content you submit to LegalAI. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, process, and analyze your content to provide our services and improve our AI models.

6.3 Restrictions

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our service without our express written permission.

7. AI Limitations and Accuracy

Our AI system provides analysis based on publicly available legal information. While we strive for accuracy:

• AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
• Legal information may become outdated as laws change
• AI cannot account for all nuances of your specific situation
• Results should be verified with a licensed attorney

You acknowledge that you use AI-generated information at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEGALAI AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use our service
• Any reliance on AI-generated information
• Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in our content
• Unauthorized access to your account or data
• Legal outcomes or decisions made based on our service

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LegalAI and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of our service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any rights of another party.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the service will immediately cease
• We may delete your account and data after 90 days
• You may request a copy of your data before termination
• Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.2 Arbitration

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of LegalAI shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through our service. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
